3:00PM – 7:00PM
Camping at the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road. Those who registered to camp may arrive during these hours. You will be directed to parking and camping area upon arrival. Please use Leave No Trace principles for camping. Store any food in a sealed container in your car and properly dispose of all trash and recycling. There will be trash cans and portable and accessible port-a-potties, but no additional amenities at this camp site. Quiet hours will begin at 8PM out of respect for teams leaving in the wee hours of the morning! At 7 PM, the Auto Road staff will be locking the entrance gate and you will NOT be able to drive right up to our base camp after that time.
Sunday, July 31st
In lieu of checking in at a registration tent this year, each team will have one designated person for team members to check in with! Designated team check in leads: Team Aamanda- Charles King, Team Blair- Bethany, Team Carol- Tim Weaver, Team Gina- Gina, Team Hilary- Shonda, Team Jacques- Cayla, Team Jesse- Thomas, Team Matt and MiKayla- Drea, Team NEHSA- Henley, Team Sami- Michaela, Team Sasha- Shari, Team Taylor- Julie
2:00 AM- Early morning support crew and vehicles will depart from the base of the Auto Road. You will be notified if you are in this time group!
2:00 AM- Team For the Love of Tom- Please arrive at the base camp tent by 2AM. At that time, find your teammates and begin warming up for the hike. Your team's departure time is set for 2:15AM. Please have headlamps, flashlights, and spare batteries for everyone.
2:15 AM- Team Carol, Team M&M (MiKayla and Matt), Team Gina, Team MooMoo (Hilary), Team NEHSA, Team Sami- Please arrive at base camp tent by 2:15 AM, or earlier, to check-in and prepare for your 2:30AM departure, along with your support vehicles. Please have headlamps, flashlights, and spare batteries for everyone.
3:15 AM- Team Aamanda, Team Blair, Team Remembrance (Jesse)- Please plan to arrive at the base camp tent at 3:30AM or earlier to check-in for your 3:30AM departure. Please have headlamps, flashlights, and spare batteries for everyone.
3:45 AM- Support, Emergency Response, & Photographer Vehicles- Approved early support vehicles should start lining up at the Toll House, located at the base of the Auto Road, by 3:45AM, for a 4:00AM departure before the final teams depart.
3:45 AM- Team Jacques, Team Sasha- Arrive at the base camp tent between 3:45AM-4:00AM to check-in, find your team members, get coffee and fuel, and warm up. This grouping will depart at 4:00AM. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO HIKE UP THE ROAD AFTER 4:30AM. Please have headlamps, flashlights, and spare batteries for everyone.
7:45 AM- Road Runners- Please plan to arrive at the base of the Auto Road between 7:45AM and 8:10AM. Vehicles will depart from the base of the Auto Road at 8:15AM. No late vehicles will be allowed up!
10 AM- Basecamp BBQ and Celebration! Join ASPNC for a celebration of the Ascent at the Base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road!
